DeSantis CRACKS Down on Illegal Alien Medicaid Use!

A lot of Republicans TALK about illegal immigration and how it’s sucking our country dry, but few have the intestinal fortitude to pull illegal aliens off the taxpayer funded dime!

Last year Governor DeSantis put in motion a multi-pronged crackdown on illegal immigration and those fostering it in Florida. 

He signed a law directing hospitals who accept Medicaid to ask patients about their immigration status when they seek treatment. 

Patients are not forced to give an answer, but the mere asking of the question seems to be doing the trick.

According to Politico, Florida’s Emergency Medical Assistance program for illegal aliens has seen a 54% dip in expenditures billed to Medicaid this year — with less than 2 months remaining in the fiscal year — since this state immigration law took effect. 

Now it’s important to note federal law already bars illegals from Medicaid eligibility, though there are plenty of work arounds illegals take advantage of for emergency services, pregnancy and dialysis. 

But this DeSantis initiative appears to be making a big dent!!
