Former Pennsylvania Democratic Congressman Patrick Murphy joins Fox Across America With guest host Jason Chaffetz to talk about the important role his home state is likely to play in determining the winner of the 2024 presidential election.
“I live in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, right? So it’s the collar county of Philadelphia. And that’s a district that, you know, I represented. And it’s really, the Philadelphia suburbs are so critical. And I will tell you, it really comes down to, you know, how do people feel about this country? Are we going in the right track? And no doubt, I will tell you and you for your listeners out there, the American people have been put through the wringer. I mean, as have the people of the world. And we went through the worst global pandemic. We lost 1 million Americans. We had an unemployment rate at double digits, you know, and things are finally moving in the right direction. I mean, we went from $5 gallon of gas to, I got gas this morning coming back from the Jersey shore, and it $3.24 when I went. I’d like it to go lower. It’s going in the right direction. It’s going down. But at the end of the day, I think there’s a lot of good things happening, and it’s going to be nip and tuck. And this is an epic rematch from four years ago. So in Pennsylvania specifically, you know, that Donald Trump won in 2016. Joe Biden beat him in 2020. So this is the third round. And we’re going to see how it goes. And we have an incredible debate this Thursday night.”
