Evening Edition: Using Art To Heal From PTSD

June is Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness Month and support groups have begun using different techniques to help individuals cope with trauma. One of those groups is the ‘Wounded Warrior Project’, an American charity and veterans service organization, who have started to use art therapy, music and cooking programs in order to use creativity to unlock new ways of healing.

FOX’s Tonya J. Powers speaks with Sal Gonzalez, veteran and country singer, and Dr. Erin Fletcher, Director of the Wounded Warrior Network, about the ways different forms of art can help veterans cope with PTSD.
