Remembering Fallen Heroes On Memorial Day

Monday is Memorial Day, and while most Americans spend it with barbeques and beach parties, the day means much more to many people. The holiday dates back to the Revolutionary War to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice serving our country. Anchor and executive editor of The Story with Martha MacCallum and the Untold Story podcast, Martha MacCallum joins the podcast to discuss why Memorial Day means so much to her and to discuss her two new FOX Nation specials, The Secret History of WWII and The Final Journey of the Greatest Generation.

Nearly one month after then-President Donald Trump announced he was pulling troops out of Syria, Navy Cryptologist Shannon Kent was one of the few American soldiers killed in the 2019 suicide bombing in Manbij, Syria. Shannon left behind a loving husband, Joe Kent, an Army veteran, and two children. Now, several years later, Kent co-wrote a new book called Send Me: The True Story of a Mother at War and joins the Rundown to share Shannon’s love for the military and the stories she left behind.

Plus, commentary from retired teacher Valerie Crescenz.
