Evening Edition: Putin Replaces Defense Minister As Fighting Intensifies
Russian President Putin has turned to a civilian economist in a surprise move to replace longtime ally Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. The shake up comes as intense fighting is going on in Northeast Ukraine near the country’s second largest city of Kharkhiv. The Russian Defense Ministry says their forces have captured five villages in the northeast.
