“Squatters” Not Welcome in Florida
“Squatters Rights” might be a thing in many states but not in DeSantis’ Florida!
I’m Tomi Lahren, more next.
Squatting has become far too common across the US as people exploit legal loopholes and so-called “squatters rights” to take advantage of property owners.
Well in Florida, that game is over.
Governor Ron DeSantis signed a law that eliminates squatters rights, gives law enforcement the power to remove offenders, and increases penalties on those who try.
Property owners in Florida are now empowered to call the Sheriff’s office to immediately remove squatters IF the offenders can’t come up with legal paperwork authorizing their residence there.
The red tape owners have to go through in other states will be largely eliminated and that is a huge victory for property owners.
DeSantis believes this new Florida law is the first of its kind in the nation but if other states are wise, they will quickly follow suit, especially given the fact 10 million plus illegals could easily take advantage of squatters rights and cause major problems.
Once again, Governor DeSantis walked the walk and led the way!
