Evening Edition: Israel Cancels Meeting In Washington Following U.N. Ceasefire Vote
Israel canceled sending a delegation to Washington D.C. to discuss the planned military operation in Rafah after the United States abstained from voting on a United Nations resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire. The United Nations Security Council passed the resolution 14-0. The United Sates has been urging Israel not to launch the offensive into Rafah which would force over a million Palestinians to evacuate.
