Bret Baier on Super Tuesday: ‘Trump World vs. Democrats and Independents’
Today is Super Tuesday, with fifteen contests occurring throughout the United States. Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley won her first primary over the weekend, defeating former President Donald Trump in Washington D.C.; however, only two thousand people voted. Now, all eyes are on the remaining two Republicans in the race after the Supreme Court ruled earlier that Trump’s name will appear on ballots nationwide. FOX’s Chief Political Anchor and host of Special Report, Bret Baier, joins the Rundown to preview the contests, break down the Supreme Court’s decision, and discuss whether or not President Joe Biden will address voters’ concerns about his age.
Even as former President Donald Trump heads into Super Tuesday facing off against his former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, the Trump campaign has shifted focus away from the primary and onto President Biden. The former President has criticized President Biden’s handling of Ukraine, Israel, and the economy in recent speeches. With the Republican nomination potentially decided as soon as March 12th, what could lie ahead for the campaign? Trump 2024 National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt joins the podcast to discuss the campaign’s feelings heading into Super Tuesday, what issues are most important to former President Trump, and why the campaign has shifted focus toward the general election.
