Shannon Bream On Trump Immunity Claim, Leader McConnell’s Exit, and Super Tuesday
After a record seventeen years on the job, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnel announced earlier this week that he’d be stepping down from the role in November. Under his leadership, he helped alter the Senate Judiciary, with the Senate confirming three conservative Supreme Court justices under his leadership. FOX News Sunday Anchor and Living the Bream podcast host Shannon Bream joins the Rundown to discuss Senator McConnel’s historic decision, former President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court case, and what to expect on Super Tuesday.
A new study on “ultra-processed” foods, items that contain numerous ingredients with no nutritional value, is raising an alarm as it found a myriad of health risks for people who consume these products. The study found links to cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, depression, and anxiety. It also cites that nearly 58 percent of all calories consumed by Americans come from ultra-processed items. Registered dietitian nutritionist, author, and adjunct professor of nutrition at NYU, Dr. Lisa Young, joins the podcast to discuss the risks involved in eating these foods and how Americans can work on cutting them out of their diet.
Plus, commentary by former Acting U.S. Attorney General, Matt Whitaker.
