Comedian Dave Landau joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give his take on fellow comedian Shane Gillis hosting Saturday Night Live last weekend, more than four years after he was fired form the show as a cast member due to previous comments made on a podcast.
“I think it was, in my opinion, Lorne’s way of at least making something right, because I know it wasn’t him that made that call. I believe it was people above him. And I think a lot of heart, you know, really that show that he made in the spirit of being a complete renegade and an outlaw at the time, you know, firing him was the opposite of that. So I think it was good to at least have him get the power back, to be able to right the wrong. And I think it is a good win for comedy. And I think a lot of people going, cancel culture is dead. There’s this, and I’m like, I don’t think it’s true. I don’t think ever going to be true again.”
