Evening Edition: Stocks Surge After A-I Chip Maker Releases Earnings Report

Shares of United States chip designers Nvidia surging 16% by the close of the trading day after their last quarter sales tripled from a year ago propelling gains across the markets. Nvidia custom designs A-I chips for major tech companies like Google, Microsoft and Meta. Other A-I and semiconductor chip stocks also had major rallies Thursday on the heels of Nvidia’s gains.
