Former U.S. State Department spokesperson Morgan Ortagus joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on the gravity of the “serious national security threat” that House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner brought attention to in a statement on Wednesday.

“What’s being reported is that the Senate, Intelligence Committee, the White House and others have had the Intel on Russian space capabilities for quite some time. We all know they have. This is not something we learned yesterday. I think if I were putting myself in his shoes and I were Intel committee chairman, if it turns out to be the type of weapon that can take out our communication satellite, that not only impairs us from a military command and control perspective, it also would take out civilian satellite communications, which could infect the entire United States. I mean, listen, it’s a scary thought that the Russians could have this capability. And the issue is not just when the enemy has a capability. The issues when the enemy has a capability that you, can’t defend yourself from. And so we at least reportedly, from what we all know publicly, we do not yet have the capability to defend ourselves from this type of weapon.”

Morgan and Jimmy also talk about how the world seemed to be a safer place when former President Trump was in office. Listen to the podcast to hear what else she had to say!
