Kurtz had this to say on the outrage Jon Stewart is facing from :

“They’re both old and (Jon Stewart is) gonna make fun of them and all of that. And yet liberals were like, wait, Jon, you’re one of us. How can you do this? And like, he literally got bashed online, by some prominent left wingers. And so they only want him to go after Trump, a Republican. They don’t want equal opportunity comedy.”
