Evening Edition: DOJ Calls Uvalde Shooting Response A ‘Significant Failure’
U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland was in Uvalde, Texas today and shared the findings of the Department of Justice’s “Critical Incident Review”, their report into the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in the Spring of 2022. Nineteen children and two teachers were killed by an eighteen-year-old shooter before police finally took him out. Local and state law enforcement, both showing up to the scene of the shooting, have faced harsh criticism over their response that many just saw as too slow with no real effort to quickly neutralize the shooter.
FOX’s John Saucier speaks with FOX’s Casey Stegall, senior correspondent for FOX News, about the findings in the report and the reaction to it.
