Sen. Joni Ernst on Possibly Being Trump’s VP Pick: “Absolutely” Open to It… But Not Actively Looking Into It

Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA), the first female combat veteran elected to the US Senate and author of DAUGHTER OF THE HEARTLAND: My Ode to the Country that Raised Me joined the Guy Benson Show today to talk about the latest on the US led coalition that launched strikes against the Iran-backed Houthi militants in Yemen. Yemen has since closed it’s airways to the United States. Ernst also talks about her recent trip to the Middle East, and she describes her experiences. Ernst had this to say when asked if she would be willing to serve as Trump’s VP:

“Absolutely. I think it’s an honor just to be considered and talked about. But of course, I still have about three years left in my Senate term. But whatever comes about will come about. Guy. I’m not looking to that. I think there’s a lot of really wonderful, wonderful people that can fulfill that role.”
