Seattle “Fat Con”

Brace yourselves, Fat Con is coming to Seattle this weekend!

I’m Tomi Lahren, more next.

Following in the footsteps of a Philly event by the same name, this weekend the Seattle area will welcome “Fat Con,” a weekend-long event dedicated to what organizers call “fat liberation.”

The purpose of this convention is not only to celebrate fatness and body acceptance, but encourage attendees to band together to impact policy, healthcare, public perception and more.

There will also be vendors to cater to the unique needs and wants of attendees “of size.”

Another focus of this convention is combating what organizers refer to as “fat phobia.”

I can only imagine sponsors may include: diabetes, heart disease, early death, and big Pharma.

They might bill this thing as some sort of empowerment event but it’s actually the glorification of a death sentence.

While I’m all for body positivity, this convention goes well beyond that.

Instead of applauding unhealthy lifestyle choices that will surely lead to an early grave, why not empower attendees to exercise, eat better and put nutrition at the forefront?

Just a thought!
