“Killers of the Flower Moon” actress Lily Gladstone is taking a brave stand against pronouns.
In an interview with People, she explained that despite quite clearly being a she/her, she is comfortable going by both “she” and “they.”
Gladstone explained that many indigenous languages don’t have gendered pronouns and feels that using she/they is a way for her to “decolonize” gender for herself.
