The reaction to her resignation largely fell upon partisan lines, with conservatives praising the result as fair and necessary, while many on the left called her resignation the consequence of racism and personal attacks. Former Governor of Indiana and previous president of Purdue University, Mitch Daniels, joins the Rundown to give his insight on the cultural conversation following this resignation, the allegations of Gay’s plagiarism, and the impact this may have on the future of higher education.
