On Christmas Day, two GOP lawmakers were targeted by prank callers who called in fake emergencies to their homes. These perpetrators “swatted” these representatives, aiming to trick law enforcement into sending heavily armed SWAT units to cause fear and panic at the lawmakers’ homes.

Both Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene and Congressman Brandon Williams were unharmed, but as a result, law enforcement stressed again that swatting is a dangerous crime that could lead to the deaths of innocent civilians.

Retired FBI special agent John Iannarelli agreed this crime can easily become a lethal one. He joined the FOX News Rundown to explain the concerning trend and why it’s life-threatening for law enforcement and civilians alike.
