Evening Edition: Zelenskyy Visits Washington As Congress Stalled On More Ukraine Aid
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was in Washington D.C. today speaking with lawmakers and President Biden making his case for billions more in aid in his country’s fight against the Russian invaders. Zelenskyy is asking for Congress to approve $61.4 billion for Ukraine that also includes aid to Israel. The United States has already sent $111 billion to Ukraine and the prediction is Congress won’t be able to pass an aid package before the holidays which has Kyiv and the White House worried.
FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with Rear Admiral (Ret.) Mark Montgomery, Senior Fellow at the nonpartisan think tank Foundation for Defense of Democracies and served as policy director for the Senate Armed Services Committee, about what could be in this possible latest round of aid to Ukraine and the impact of getting it or not getting it.
