Griffin had this to say about the emotional experience of being a journalist with connections in Israel during the ongoing conflict:
“I have friends in Gaza right now who are stuck. I have friends in the West Bank who’ve been been facing a lot of threats from Israeli settlers. And I have the children that my kids went to preschool with… It is very emotional for all of us. But we as reporters, it’s our job and it’s a requirement that we try to maintain our objectivity, but we’re human beings. But we need reporters to be on the front lines and thank God they’re there.”
