Oklahoma Republican Senator Markwayne Mullin joined Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to discuss his heated exchange with Teamster President Sean O’Brien during a Senate Health Committee hearing on Tuesday, which appeared to be on the brink of a physical altercation.’
“You know, someone came to me earlier today and they said, was that conduct of a United States Senator? I said, I’m a guy from Oklahoma first. You don’t run your mouth like that in Oklahoma unless you’re willing to stand up and back it up. And it’s that simple. This guy, he’s a union Teamster boss who said he wants to bring back the mob mentality after he was elected president. And he just ran his mouth off to the wrong person, I guess. I found out about it Friday, and honestly, I was out of the country. I was in Djibouti visiting our National Guard troops that were deployed there and spent Veterans Day with them. And so I got back late last night. I mean, we flew in late last night, so I didn’t get a lot of time to prepare for it. But I knew he was going to be there. I just didn’t know how his reaction was going to be. But I had full intentions of calling him out.”
