Mariah Carey SUED AGAIN Over Her Christmas Anthem
It’s officially holiday music season and Mariah Carey is being sued- once again- for her hit song.
I’m Tomi Lahren, more next.
Personally, I think it’s still a tad early for holiday music, but radio and streaming stations disagree. Holly Jolly time is already in full swing.
Which brings me to the Queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey, who is being sued ONCE AGAIN, over her holiday anthem “All I Want for Christmas is You.”
Unknown country singer Andy Stone has filed a copyright lawsuit again this year, claiming Carey plagiarized his song of the same name.
He is seeking at least $20 million in damages.
He brought a similar lawsuit last year but withdrew it only to resurrect it again this year.
Stone and his co-writer Troy Powers allege Carey copied the structure and lyrical phrases they cut back in 1988, just a few years before Mariah released her song in 1994.
Mariah Carey does seem to be sweating this lawsuit and still appears to be singing her hit song all the way to the bank.
