The Word “Picnic” Is Now Racist…

UNLV’s law school apologizes and then replaces the word “picnic” for an upcoming social event.

Full disclosure, I went to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and that’s partially why what I’m about to tell you is so embarrassing.

UNLV’s Boyd Law School recently apologized and replaced the word “picnic” for an upcoming sponsored event due to “inclusion and diversity concerns.”

The event has been renamed “lunch by the lake,” instead.

Apparently the word “picnic” has “historical and offensive connotations,” that most of us normal people are not clued into.

The word actually derives from the 300-plus-year-old French word “pique-nique,” meaning a potluck-like social gathering.

I guess that is somehow racist because in 2023, everything is racist.

And Democrats think taxpayers should be on the hook for student loan debt when THIS is the kind of nonsense our institutions of higher learning are focused on?!

I think NOT!
