With a Government Shutdown looming, Florida Congresswoman Kat Cammack is back on Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla to explain what needs to happen in order to keep the government open.
“I think everyone agrees in the Republican Party that we have to secure the border. And ironically, as I’m sitting here, the National Border Patrol is walking right in front of me. They’re all here on the Hill today. So they as they’re walking by, they say, please shut the border down. But that is not something that we disagree on. The other thing is we have to cut spending. Absolutely. But I don’t think that this is a question of the policies. I think this is a political question that we have to start asking. And I think that there are just some members who their ultimate goal is using all this as a pretext to do a motion to vacate on Kevin McCarthy. And no matter what side of that argument you’re on, I don’t really care. It’s are you willing to not do the work that is so necessary of cutting spending, getting regulatory reform, securing the border, addressing the crime wave, like actually doing the really not sexy work up here because you just don’t like somebody. Yeah, I mean, that to me is pretty ridiculous. But I know. All that aside, I mean, if we don’t get border security, any package is dead in the water. If we do not start addressing the debt, that package is dead in the water and the Dems aren’t going to help us. We know that they want to see us fail because they hate us more than they love the country. And that tells you a lot about the state of affairs in Washington.”
Rep. Cammack also takes a shot at NY not having the infrastructure to handle flooding. Both of migrants and rain. Listen to the podcast to hear what else she had to say!
