Anchor of “The Story” Martha MacCallum joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to talk about what she will be looking out for during the second 2024 GOP presidential debate, which is taking place Wednesday night at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.
“I am a big believer in connecting with people. And if one of these individuals can have, I think a breakout moment is a real moment. I think it’s a moment where, you know, you have a zinger that is so, wow, he or she is super quick, understood the answer that me as a viewer wanted to hear. I think that person understands who I am and what my concerns are. Think about Ronald Reagan. Think about the fact that this is where this debate is taking place and the struggle and engagement of ideas that he fostered. And I think, you know, I was watching an old video of him earlier today, and he’s talking about the government, the size of government, get the government off your back. That’s what we want to do. And I thought, that is a message for him politically that resonated deeply. And that’s what you have to do. So that’s what I’m kind of hoping for tonight. Sort of a surprise.”
Plus, Martha and Jimmy share their thoughts on the significance of the upcoming debate between Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and California Governor Gavin Newsom, which will be moderated by Fox’s Sean Hannity. Listen to the podcast to hear what else she had to say!
