Evening Edition: Court Rules Biden Administration Violated First Amendment Rights Over COVID-19 Content
A federal appeals court last Friday ruled that the White House, the FBI, the CDC and the Surgeon General could have violated the First Amendment rights of people by moderating content regarding the election, COVID-19 and the handling of Hunter Biden’s laptop. The ruling from the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans says the governmental agencies pressured technology companies to suppress or even remove posts on those topics. The lawsuit was filed by the states of Missouri and Louisiana, a conservative website owner, and four other people who opposed the administrations COVID-19 policy.
FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with Edward Lawrence, White House Correspondent for the FOX Business Network, about the ruling and what it means for free speech.
