A Whopper of a Lawsuit
Fast food consumers don’t ask for much, but don’t you dare try to pull the wool over their eyes with some false advertising!
I’m Tomi Lahren, more next.
A class action lawsuit against Burger King alleging the chain made their Whopper burgers appear 35% larger than reality, will move forward.
A US Judge has REJECTED Burger King’s request to dismiss the lawsuit and must now defend against customer’s claims they were misled by the fast food restaurant. Burger King also denies the allegations and notes that ads are generally gonna appear superior to the actual product and that that is reasonable.
I mean, look, if you’re gonna label your burger the “whopper” it should probably stand up to size and ingredient scrutiny.
McDonald’s and Wendy’s AND Taco Bell are fighting similar challenges and complaints regarding the marketed size of some of their menu items.
Inflation thanks to Bidenomics is bad enough. People are struggling. If you want to skimp on the meat and patty size, fine, but reduce the price to match or change your marketing images to a realistic depiction.
The American people have been lied to enough over the past 3 years, we don’t need restaurants doing it too!
