The Western African country of Gabon has now become the third nation on the continent to suffer a military coup this year after senior military leaders announced on national TV they had taken control of the government. Gabon’s coup follows ones in Niger and Burkina-Faso and all share anti-Western sentiment. FOX’s Ryan Schmelz speaks with Alex Hogan, FOX News London-based Foreign correspondent, about this most recent military coup and the growing influence of Russia and China in Africa.
