Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to explain why she believes former President Trump is missing a major opportunity to reach independent voters if he skips out on the first 2024 GOP presidential debate on Wednesday night.

“I mean, I’m a Lions fan. I’m from Detroit, so I’m never one who says sit on a lead. I’m always saying, play till the very end to win. But on this front, look, 42 percent of the country is independent. If you look at the 2022 midterms, independents determined every single election in this country. And we had the most ticket splitting we’ve ever seen in a very divided nation. I think we can all agree we’re kind of split down the middle. So who’s going to make that deciding vote? Independent voters. So this opportunity to get in front of them, I think is really important for our party to contrast school choice, bringing down inflation, energy independence, closing the border, making sure that we don’t have this tide of fentanyl coming into our country. When we talk about common sense things, making sure that our cities and our communities and our businesses are safe and our families are safe, these are things we stand for as a party, contrasted against the crazy lunacy of the Democrat Party right now. And this is a conversation that’s important for us to have.”

Ronna also talks about how the Democrats are trying to steer the conversation away from President Biden’s record ahead of the 2024 presidential election. Listen to the podcast to hear what else she had to say!
