Taco Bell SUED!
Taco Bell fans, hang on to your hot sauce.
Our favorite fast food chain is being accused of the unthinkable!
I’m Tomi Lahren, find out next.
Taco Bell, my favorite fast food chain, is being accused of false advertising. The class action lawsuit filed against the restaurant claims the chain “materially overstates the amount of beef” in its ads.
The two menu items at the center of the controversy are the Crunchwrap and the Mexican Pizza.
The plaintiff alleges Taco Bell ads greatly exaggerate how much ground beef comes in those items.
The lawsuit includes side-by-side images depicting their argument with the ad showing a plump and bountiful Mexican pizza next to what customers actually received in store.
The lawsuit also points out that thanks to inflation and the high cost of food, it’s just plain wrong to swindle customers into thinking they’re gonna get a substantial amount of sustenance from these items.
The filing also requests a jury trial for this case. I, for one, would love to see this play out. A real courtroom food fight, so to speak.
Now look, I still love Taco Bell but I’m not gonna lie, the amount of ground beef they put into items is underwhelmingly at best. I mean sometimes I can literally count the granules of so-called beef in my burrito!
Come on T-Bell, give us the meat!
