Extra: Combatting PTSD And The Overprescribing Of Mental Health Drugs
Kelsi Sheren enlisted in the Canadian Army at just 19 years old and served her country in Afghanistan.
However, her combat experience, witnessing destruction and death, left her with post-traumatic stress disorder.
Years later, Sheren says she still has her struggles with PTSD every day, but she has since turned her pain into passion.
Kelsi Sheren joined the FOX News Rundown’s Chris Foster recently to discuss her new book, “Brass & Unity: One Woman’s Journey Through the Hell of Afghanistan and Back” and detailed how her mental health journey led her to create a booming jewelry business.
She also talked about her work with veterans and why she is very concerned that many former soldiers, like herself, are overprescribed medication while not being allowed affordable access to alternative therapies.
Due to time limitations, we could not include our entire conversation in the FOX News Rundown segment that ran this week. On the FOX News Rundown Extra, you will hear the complete interviews with author, entrepreneur , and veteran Kelsi Sheren.
