Evening Edition: Actors Join Writers In Historic Hollywood Strike

The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists union (SAG-AFTRA) has joined the Writers Guild of America (WGA) at the picket line in an attempt to negotiate new contracts with producers. This will put a full stop on production coming out of Hollywood as performers seek to improve wages and create guidelines for the use of artificial intelligence in making movies and television. FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with Joe Flint, media and entertainment reporter for the Wall Street Journal, who explains what the performers are after and how streaming services complicate negotiations.
