“There’s one other step to this that’s really important to me is, guess who’s doing the EOD work over there two years from now? Guess who’s going and taking apart the bombs that the Russians shot and the Ukrainians shot that are still in Ukraine if Ukraine wins this war? It’s not just Ukrainians. It is NATO. It is the United States. So it’s my buddies that will end up in Ukraine trying to disarm these very sensitive bombs that come out of cluster bombs that don’t go off. And it’s my buddies who will lose their life and limb. I’ve got buddies that lost life and limb in Cambodia, Laos, in Vietnam decades later doing this work. And this is exactly what will happen to our men and women if these types of munitions are used in this war.”
