What in the Threads?!

Hold onto your hats folks, there’s yet ANOTHER social media app to entice your scrolling fingers!

Just what we need, another social media app. Last week Meta introduced “threads” which is basically Twitter, without the Elon.

In just a few days, the Threads app has already reached nearly 90 million users and counting.

Part of the reason for this fast success is that the app allows you to pretty much transfer your existing Instagram profile with a click. That means Threads has easily had access to the 1.6 billion existing Instagram users.

But the app might already be doomed given Elon Musk has already vowed to sue Meta, alleging the company hired former Twitter employees with access to trade secrets and more.

I’ll admit, I’m on Threads, and it’s pretty much..Twitter.

Some see the new platform as an alternative to Twitter after Elon’s takeover and freeing and speech.

Zuckerberg and Musk have already vowed to cage fight each other so maybe this new bad blood will raise the stakes in this already intense feud of the tech wardens!
