Former NYPD inspector Paul Mauro joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give his take on Hunter Biden’s plea deal with the Department of Justice, and whether he believes the first son received preferential treatment.
“Generally, this is one of those sort of tac-on charges that DOJ uses just to get you if they can’t get you on something else. And there’s a whole host of those, you know, there’s a charge call thousand one, which is just that’s just where it appears in the U.S. code, for lying to a federal officer during an investigation. So there’s all these sort of charges that they can throw you at you. Generally they don’t bother. The real miscarriage here is not that he was charged with that. It’s that he wasn’t charged with a host of far more serious stuff. And when you consider that the investigation went on for five years, I mean, the Warren Commission wasn’t five years. I mean, literally. And at the end of the day, they came up with two misdemeanors and a deferral, which just essentially on the state level, they call it an ACT. In other words, it just gets wiped out. And if he keeps his nose clean a year from now, two years from now, the thing goes away like it’s expunged. So realistically, he ends up with two misdemeanor tax charges and there is no mention or no sort of acknowledgment in anything that I’ve seen of all this stuff. And that evidence is out that we’ve all seen from the laptop, Burisma stuff related to the Big Guy, etc.. It really stinks to high heaven.”
Paul also tells Jimmy why it’s important that we eventually get to read the full plea agreement. Listen to the podcast to hear what else he had to say!
