Senator Joni Ernst (R- IA) spoke to Brian Kilmeade about the Roast & Ride event hosting GOP presidential candidates in Des Moines, Iowa this weekend. The eight candidates who will be at the event are Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Tim Scott, Mike Pence, Asa Hutchinson, Perry Johnson, Larry Elder and Vivek Ramaswamy. On the Debt Ceiling, Ernst says she will be a yes vote. Ernst doesn’t think it is a perfect bill, she does believe it takes a number of excellent steps that Republicans would not have gotten otherwise. Ernst believes the hard fact is Republicans are in the minority in the Senate and don’t have the White House. Ernst’s message to those who are upset at republicans supporting the bill is, “If you want a different outcome, let’s make sure we flip the Senate and that we do get the White House. Then we can move ahead with very ambitious goals.”
