Co-host of “The Big Money Show” on Fox Business Brian Brenberg joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give his assessment of the ongoing negotiations between President Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy over raising the national debt ceiling.
“What this becomes is there’s always one side that holds the cards and the other side knows it. And so all this is like, how do you play it in a way where, the guys who hold the cards get in such a bad spot that they have to give up some more leverage. That’s what it is right now. McCarthy’s got the cards because he put the plan out there and Biden at this point is just saying, well, the closer I get to the X date that the heat goes up so much and his bet is McCarthy’s going to have to fold on something, that’s it. Like you just know when you don’t have the leverage, you just try to turn up the heat as much as possible.”
