Florida Republican Congresswoman Kat Cammack joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to explain why her party will not end up reaching a deal with President Biden on raising the debt ceiling unless he agrees to significant spending cuts.
“You have to deal with it. No one’s saying that we don’t have to deal with it. But for me personally, with this debt ceiling, it’s not enough just to cap. It’s not enough just to cut. It’s not enough just to require all the things that we’ve been asking for and pushing all these different programs. We have to have structural reforms in how we do business. So things like the REINS Act, for example, which takes on the regulatory regime. You know, think about that. The real swamp. You know, you can get rid of your Congress critter, but your regulators, your nameless, faceless bureaucrats that dwell in basements all over this city, that’s the real swamp. And they are going out making law, enforcing law. They have really subverted the Article I authority of Congress to take on the role of a legislator and executor of that law. And so when you think about what that’s doing to Americans, it costs us $2 trillion every single year in just added fees and compliance on the regulations alone. And in Florida, for example, each family in Florida is now paying $14,000 more this year because of just the new regulations that Biden has added.”
Rep. Cammack and Jimmy also discuss how the Democratic Party continues to fail the communities they claim to care the most about. To hear what else she had to say, listen to the podcast!
