Founder and Executive Director of Power The Future Daniel Turner joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to share his reaction to Department of Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm saying she supports the Biden administration’s efforts to require the U.S. military to implement an all-electric vehicle fleet by 2030.
“It’s so frustrating to deal with this. One, show me any vehicle of substance that runs on electricity. You know, should the Air Force become all electric? Is it even possible? How much do batteries weigh? How much space do they take up? Could a tank ever be electric? What are the plans in place? Look at your average Tesla and realize that more than a quarter of the weight is the battery. And a Tesla is not a comfortable vehicle if you’re larger than Pete Buttigieg. And so, the reason why they’re small is because the battery takes up so much space. And again, what a lie to say like by 2030 we should be all electric. How about this? Do you agree with the fact that all of our kids should be proficient in math by 2030? And you say, well of course I do. Is it possible? No. Look at our education system. Let’s just be honest.”
