Mike Pompeo Torches French President Macron’s Remarks On Taiwan: “Absolutely Galling And Incredibly Ignorant”

Mike Pompeo, Former Secretary of State and CIA Director joined the Guy Benson Show to discuss his recent trip to Ukraine, the rising tensions over Taiwan, and the massive leak of sensitive U.S. classified documents.

Pompeo torched Macron’s remarks saying,

“Absolutely galling and incredibly ignorant. That’s how I would describe those remarks.”

Adding that,

“I think everyone should keep focused on. I have no problem with President Macron taking a position that says France first, just like we put America first, He should put France first. What he has wrong is it is in the French best interest not to side with XI, who will want to make France a vassal state. He shouldn’t say it was XI that will trade with France only so long. It’s in their best interest and then he will crush their economy. It’s not the fact that he put France first. That’s the expectation of every national leader. It’s that he misunderstood the French people’s own interest. And I think the French people can feel that and smell that, too.”
