Evening Edition: Congress Tries To Strengthen Support For Taiwan
There have been multiple meetings between lawmakers and top Taiwanese officials as members of Congress are trying to strengthen ties to the island prior to what can be seen as unavoidable invasion by China. U.S. military leaders have said they expect China to invade Taiwan by 2027 and just days ago House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Rep. Michael McCaul has said the US could send troops if that happens. FOX’s Eben Brown spoke with Chad Pergram, FOX’s Senior Congressional Correspondent, about Congress pushing for more support of Taiwan and the difference in the recent dwindling support of Ukraine.
