Co-host of “Fox & Friends Weekend” Pete Hegseth joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to share his thoughts on former President Trump’s upcoming arraignment in Manhattan, and why he believes this indictment is only going to strengthen the 45th President’s support among GOP primary voters.
“He’s become an avatar. He’s become a symbol. And that’s why people who weren’t inclined to support him are giving him money and going on TV and putting on MAGA hats. It’s because when he says, and this has become cliche but it’s true, when he says they’re coming after you, they just have to come through me. It really is the case where anyone who professes to believe in America first or to challenge the establishment will be a perpetual target, even without Trump there. But he’s this sort of last vanguard of someone able to fight on their behalf. Even watching other presidential candidates on TV. Well, I wish they could focus on other issues down here at the border and everything, but we wouldn’t be talking about the border without Trump, who made border an issue in 2016. And now you’re like, oh, no one’s paying attention to the border, while the ex-president’s being hauled into Manhattan. I mean, that tells you they don’t get it yet, but the people do get it.”
