Former New York Republican gubernatorial nominee Lee Zeldin joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to share his reaction to former President Trump being indicted by a Manhattan grand jury.
“Last night, Michael Cohen’s giving a TV interview, and he’s essentially confirming that this is about this payment. And we know that there’s a two year statute of limitations and they’re trying to get really creative, Bragg, in trying to extend it to be able to go after an indictment now. But this very convoluted theory of how it gets there is a federal campaign finance violation. You start thinking, I don’t know if any local prosecutor anywhere in the state of New York has ever prosecuted a federal campaign finance violation. And on top of that, the messenger here, Alvin Bragg, before he was even sworn into office, said that he was going to go after Donald Trump. He didn’t know the charge. He didn’t know the facts. He was going to do it personally. And by the way, Michael Cohen’s interview that he did yesterday, he said it ten times that he met directly with Alvin Bragg. Why isn’t Alvin Bragg going after all of these felons across the city in order to keep this place safe?”
Lee also discusses whether he believes Trump will end up getting a fair trial. Listen to the podcast to hear what else he had to say!
