Listen To The Full Interview Below:

Karl Rove, Former Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to President George W. Bush, Wall Street Journal Columnist, and Fox News Contributor joined the Guy Benson Show to discuss his latest WSJ column on how a possible Trump indictment would hurt him politically.

Rove made his case saying,

“In my column, I talk about how people will rally around him. Republicans will rally around him because he’s under attack and he’s under attack on somewhat shaky. I mean, I agree with David French. There’s a very complicated case being put together that appears to rely upon untested theories of law. Andrew McCarthy put it, you know, and French is, you know, if it’s that complicated, don’t file it. And he Andrew McCarthy is even more direct is a bad case. Drop it. And so what the effect of that is going to cause a lot of Republicans to rally around the former president, at least temporarily. But my point is, is that this isn’t a. This isn’t about the hardcore. This is about, you know, the general election. This is about is this what is this going to do to close the 7 million vote gap that we had in the last election? And the answer is this is going to hurt, not help over the long run.”
