Co-host of “The Big Money Show” on Fox Business Brian Brenberg joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give his analysis on what’s been happening since last week’s collapse of Silicon Valley Bank.
“This is what doesn’t make sense about it. I mean, there’s just a break in the logic because the little guy who’s got less than $250,000 already gets the FDIC backing. So the question is, why are you really doing this? And I just think part of the answer’s got to be, look, this California. This is a high tech servicing bank. This is a lot of climate stuff going on. And you’ve got a lot of folks out there who really didn’t want to lose their 10 million bucks in the bank. So you get all this talk about contagion, and contagion is a big deal. Like, 2008 was a problem. But I’m kind of looking at this and saying, so what analysis are you looking at that’s telling you that if SVB goes into receivership, goes into a process where the depositors above 250 would have taken a haircut, they would have got something, but where’s the analysis telling you that this would have become the contagion you had to protect everybody from? I don’t see it.”
Brian and Jimmy also react to MSNBC host Joe Scarborough’s latest attack against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. To hear what else he had to say, listen to the podcast!
