Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-TN) On SVB Collapse: ‘There Will Be Accountability For This’
Listen To The Full Interview Below:
Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN) joined the Guy Benson Show to discuss the far-reaching fallout from the Silicon Valley Bank collapse and the effort to minimize further failure of the U.S. banking system.
Senator Hagerty vowed accountability for the failure saying,
“I’m confident that the markets will calm and we’ll be able to take a much clearer and harder look at what specifically happened at Silicon Valley Bank. And again, I think what we will find is that there are management failures there at the bank from a risk management standpoint. There are management failures on behalf of the regulators that need to be understood. And as you mentioned, I served on the Banking Committee, but I’m also the ranking member of the Appropriations Committee that’s responsible for financial services in general government. There will be accountability for this.”
