Senator Markwayne Mullin: Biden Should Be Hiring People Based On Merit, Not Because They Check A Box

Oklahoma Republican Senator Markwayne Mullin joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to share his thoughts on why the Biden administration has largely decided to prioritize diversity over qualifications when selecting someone to fill an open position.

“This is what happens when you check boxes and don’t hire for the best person. You may be the most inclusive administration out there, but you’re also the most incompetent.  And so you didn’t hire anybody based on qualifications. You hired them based on identity. And that that in itself, I believe, is racism. When you’re not hiring a person based on their quality, but you’re judging them by their skin color, you’re judging them by their identity. You’re judging them based on who they are instead of on hiring the best person, when you’ve got the most important job in the world. That in itself, in any other place, the Department of Labor would come after you as being a racist company and would sue you to no ends. And yet the administration has done that over and over again and has been open about it. And everybody just turns another eye. And I get that people say, well, that’s not the same. It is exactly the same when you are not hiring the person simply on merit alone.”

Senator Mullin also talks about Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s delayed response to the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, To hear what else he had to say, listen to the podcast!
