Brian Brenberg: Biden Might Want To Pause His Victory Lap On Inflation

Co-host of “The Big Money Show” Brian Brenberg joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to share his reaction to the latest consumer price index report, which shows inflation rose 0.5% last month.

“Look, this is kind of an ominous one. The expectation was 6.2%. I thought it would come in a little bit hot because we’re seeing some signs and categories, energy is one of them, used car prices, that it’s sort of ticking up again. Six point-four percent year over year number, that’s a pretty big deal. Here’s why it matters, because the question has been, does this inflation stick? It’s down from nine, but does it stick at a high level? And this is the kind of report where you look at and you say, yeah, it looks pretty sticky. You know, if you’veĀ  been at the grocery store, you know it hasn’t come down much, that rate. But this is one of those reports that ought to give the president a little bit of pause, maybe on the victory laps, which I think he took a victory lap today. He might want to pause the victory lap, but he won’t, of course.”
