Evening Edition: Charges Dropped Against Afghan Soldier That Sought Asylum In The U.S.
The Feds have dropped criminal charges against an Afghan soldier who has been held in U.S. custody since September after attempting to cross the United States’ southern border. The soldier is Abdul Wasi Safi who worked directly with U.S. Special Forces but was left behind during the evacuation and had to find a way to reach his brother who lives in Houston, Texas. FOX’s John Saucier speaks with Chad Robichaux, former Force Recon Marine, author of ‘Saving Aziz’ and co-founder of ‘Save Our Allies’, about the Abdul Safi and the work that has been done and still needs to be done in getting Afghan allies out from under Taliban rule.
